Project Details & Results

 

The proposed project suggests engagement of community-based women leaders as the main actor in an innovative approach of contributing to inclusive and sustainable economy in Armenia through joint entrepreneurship and open source approaches in line with sustainable development principles.

The overall objective of the project echoes the priorities identified by this call for proposal. The project will strive at empowering a new generation of female entrepreneurs in producing long-lasting positive social and environmental impact. In order to achieve the objective, the project will use a combination of research, capacity-building tools and open source business model deployment and will ultimately target at building a conducive ecosystem for inclusive, environmentally friendly ventures.

Project Results

The following results are expected from the proposed project implementation:

Up to 16 trainings for women are conducted by the SME Association to capacitate them for a more effective business conduct with sets of skills to invest in their businesses responsibly

At least 15 existing businesses are granted financial support to improve and/or revisit their businesses considering environmental challenges the community faces

At least 5 new idea generated during the trainings are granted financial incentives to start their initiatives up.

3 standard business plans are developed based in the diagnostics research on three priority areas that will be publicly accessible for all those who are interested in setting up a business in that particular area or make some improvements to their existing businesses.
